ZACH FRANCIS DESIGN

Zach Francis is a Tennessee based artist pursuing multiple facets of the artistic world. Look at his graphic design portfolio. He studied at Lee University in the graphic design program, where he practiced logo design, poster design, layout and typography, concept art, and digital illustration, as well as a number of traditional practices, such as charcoal drawing, oil painting, mixed media and inking.
In 2023, Zach attended Atelier Neo Medici under Gregory Pelizarri in Monflanquin, France. The Atelier teaches Technique Mixte, a Reinnassance oil painting technique revitalized by the late Patrick Batudier, from whom Pelizarri both studied the technique under and inherited the atelier from. As a graphic designer, I create art to serve both form and function. Artwork can be created outside of illusive meanings and can be created with intention. I seek to create artwork that serves the purpose of what is desired. I believe that the knowledge of the traditional arts carries over into graphic design to create works that are not only aesthetically pleasing but serving the function that is intended. As an artist, I create artwork in the pursuit of mastery. I desire to learn everything there is to know about the techniques I adopt, and my works are the visual journalism of the progression to improvement.

There is an unattainable amount of knowledge in the artistic world, of the body, of the mind, of the spirit. To the full extent of my ability, I intend to pursue this knowledge, applying it to my passion, applying it to my life. Look at my graphic design portfolio  to witness my aesthetic.
